Style: Pink Leather Jacket

I love my pink leather jacket, it adds the perfect touch to any outfit! I paired it with another Deandri dress that I love, and spiked slip on sneakers.
This Roselle dress actually fits me small. It cuts into my arm fat a little. I still kept it because I wear a leather jacket 99% of the time, and it wouldn't really bother me. I would Recommend sizing up in this dress if bat wings is a concern!

This jacket is perfect to break up an outfit. Since I usually wear all black, this is a great way to add a little color without going all crazy! They're usually super hard to find in plus size and thank the Forever21 gods that they had one! I Swear Forever21 has everything a trendsetter needs.
My slip on's are from Hot Topic. They're super old and broke after I made this blog post! They were awesome and a legendary pair in my wardrobe.

Style: All black everything.

I recently I got this dress from Deandri. It's the softest, most comfortable dress ever! It's made out of cotton and it's the perfect basic in any closet! Pair it with your favorite accessories and shoes! Of course, I could've paired my dress with cute shoes, but I love my beat up, Dr. Martens. They're comfortable and go with all my outfits!
Pair this dress with without stockings, booties, and a statement necklace!
It has the perfect Wednesday Adams vibe that we all love!
I liked this dress because it doesn't have the white collar. Do you wash it with whites? Do you wash it with darks? The guessing game is over!

Style: I love Alternative fashion!

I grew up being that emo kid with red acid wash jeans and a band t-shirt. I've dyed my hair every color under the rainbow. My style changes every so often, but I always end up with a grungy style! Before I started college I had pink hair. I have to admit it wasn't a pretty pink. It was a Ronald McDonald red/pink. When I started college I convinced myself that I needed to be an adult. So I dyed my hair black and did a total change. That's where this look came into play!

I wore dresses for a whole year! I didn't wear pants for a year! How crazy is that? Like I said, I will probably always gravitate towards alternative fashion with a girly twist. I feel like that's my style. An adult emo that loves glitter!

The Main focus of the post was supposed to be the boots! They're called the Demonia Assault boot!  They're so comfortable and I love how I can style them with leggings and a long shirt or I can style them with a dress! They're pretty easy to walk in and they're an affordable version of the UNIF Choke boot! I got these boots from Hot Topic ( I know the emo safe haven!) They were 98$ and totally worth it! I don't know many alternative, LatinX, plus size ladies. Why not be the start?

Style: The Ultimate Sin. Pencil skirts.

Pencil skirts sometimes scare me. They're too long and I look stumpy. They're too tight and I feel like I'm dying. Find the right pencil skirt and you can rule the world! I understand the fear of having your belly outline showing.

Everyone has seen this meme, and honestly who cares! A belly outline is no big deal and whoever makes a big deal about it is an asshole. It's how my body is shaped. It's how my body looks! Yes, shapewear is an option, but it's just too annoying to deal with and it hurts. I would rather leave it hanging and have a grand old time than have it all squished and I can't eat! (and you know how I like to eat!) Wear that pencil skirt and be a Queen!
I styled this plaid skirt with a black blouse, but you can swap it for a white blouse and a blazer for a work look. You can also swap the dramatic glitter boots with cute  Mary janes and add leggings!

Get the boots soon! Sizes are limited!

Style: Welcome back!

I can't believe it's been so long since my last outfit post! I lost my mojo. I lost my style and pretty much lost myself! I feel like it mostly has to do with my hair. When it's long I don't feel myself. Once I cut my hair it's a wrap, I feel like a bad ass queen.
In the spring and summer, I'm a ray of sunlight that wears colors and lives in skirts. Once fall rolls around I'm in my true form. A broody, black wearing, glitter queen! If you need to know anything about me, it's that I love glitter and sequin. My whole outfit can be black, but you will find glitter on me somewhere. When I saw the that Eloquii had a pair of glitter Chelsea boots I about died! They were pricey, but since they were wide and the heels were low I bought them without thinking about it. They're easy to style and add a dazzle to any outfit!

(Honestly where is my modeling contract)

Interior design: Wall Decals

My style is very tacky chic. I love clean lines and fashionable choices, but I love to add glitter to everything! That's where my tacky side kicks in! I saw a pack of decals at my local Family Dollar, and I loved the Kate Spade vibes it gave me! (and it only cost me $3!!) I found a similar pack on Amazon.com

The pack includes three sizes of circles that can be repositioned.

I stuck them to the walls and moved them around to my liking. Once I had them in the correct spot I pressed firmly and admired my hard work!

I have to admit, it gives off a childish look, but I really like it! It's fun, super reflective, and it looks painted. It's not going to be everybody's cup of tea, but it's a great way to add a little fun to your room!

DIY: Marble perfume tray

DIYing is so much fun! You can customize whatever you want, however you want! I first purchased this marble tray from Target, it was 36$ in store and I wanted to cry. It was expensive, but I needed it apparently. I bought it and I love it so no complaints!

Right after Target I walked to Marshalls and bought half the home decor in there. As I was leaving, I saw the Marble slab hidden under all this junk! It was originally supposed to be a cutting board! I thought I was going to drop 30$ on another marble piece, but to my surprise, it was only 12.99$! It was heavy, huge, and beautiful! (I found one similar online)

I wanted it to match the rest of my decor, so I taped off the center and left the edges exposed.
I spray painted it in a well-ventilated area and got to work!

( I use this brand of spray paint in all my projects! It sticks and dries fast! )

I actually royally messed up and somehow painted some of the middle. While it was still a little wet, I put nail polish remover on a cotton round and it came right out!

This was the end product and I love it! It goes well with the room and it was easy to customize!

If you have any DIY suggestions let me know!

Interior Design: Room Make Over

As everyone knows, I can't make up my mind in what I want my future to look like! My career choices have always changed.  This time, I want to get into interior design! Well, interior decorating. I want to buy throw pillows, couches, and lamp shades! I want to make someone's home their favorite place.

My first project was my own room. I have a basement apartment and it looked like a dungeon! It was dark, dusty, and a serial killer would love my old room! It took me a long time to realize that I could do whatever I wanted. So I stripped the wood paneling, put up sheetrock walls, and decorated however I wanted to.
I like to call my room Tacky Chic!

I put a sheetrock wall on the main wall you see when you walk in the room. In the rest of the room, I have exposed brick. It's a hipster's dream! I don't have a set "theme" in my room, I just have reoccurring colors. Grey, gold, and pops of blue.
(Lamp from Target)

My bed frame is dark grey and gold. So I refurbished my old dresser and made it like new! My mom helped me with this project and I am so proud of us! I also did my nightstand to match.

(Yes I use my Jeffrey Cambell shoes as book ends!)

 (Marble tray from Target)

( This tray is actually a cutting board that I got from Marshalls! I spray painted the edges to match everything!)

(This Flush mount was bought from Amazon.com)

I decorated my bedroom and my office on a budget. I purchased pieces from thrift stores, my local shops, a lot of DIYing, and clearance sections (those are my favorite!) I feel like I officially finished my room! These pictres aren't the best, but I love how decorated this space. If I could help others love thier spaces, I would be so happy!

If you want to see my office let me know!

Working With Dia&co!

I am so happy to be announcing my new career path. A couple weeks ago I started working for the plus size styling company Dia&co! I am a full time stylist that works completely from home. I get to work in my pajamas! This has been my dream job for such a long time! Styling plus size woman and making them feel amazing.

This is my mini home office!

Since working there, The company gave me coupon code for any of my friends and family that would like to try Dia&co. The link is good for a non styling fee box. Meaning, we style you for free and you only pay for the items that you want to keep! This link is only good for first time customers so you have a great opportunity to try new fashion choices without commitment! Just send back what you don't want and look gorgeous in what you want to keep (seems like a good deal to me!)

I am so excited to hear everyone's feedback!

If you want me to style you personally, this your chance!

Plus Size News: Plus size Leading ladies

Ghostbusters premiered last week and I am so excited to see it! Not only is it a reboot of a classic movie, but the main cast is all women! To add frosting to a spectacular cake, two of the leading ladies are plus sized and owning it.

Melissa McCarthy and Leslie Jones are killing it! Along side them is funny gal Kristen Wiig and the hottie that stole my heart, Kate McKinnon. I'm a fan of Melissa, and the way they styled her in this movie is so cute. The dress shirts and cute cardigans is doing it for me. She looks quirky and adorable. They dressed Leslie like your aunty Patty that works long hours for the MTA, but that's what they were going for right?

Rest assured that Leslie has great style off camera. Her stylist dresses her so well that I don't get why designers won't dress her! She would look marvelous  in gowns because of her height (6′ 0″) and she's stunning.

The representation in this movie is off the charts and I can't wait to see it.

Now Cris Hemsworth. I loved what I've seen in the trailer, so far Chris is an air head. Usually that role is filled by a woman. This time it's a buff, blonde, male bimbo. Male bimbos and female heroines should be the new norm. Gives us girls an opportunity to shine, not only because of out glitter covered tits.

All in all this reboot looks great and I'm excited to sit down and see it.

Xoxo Joachris

I'm not sure if this is a coincidence, but I had a twinkie today and it had the Ghostbusters logo on it. I laughed and remembered that the movie had two plus sized girls in it.

MakeUp: L'oreal Voluminous

I received a couple makeup pieces to review from  influenster.com I love trying new things and makeup is no exception! In fact it's my favorite thing to try. The box of goodies was filled with an eyeliner, two eyeshadows, a lash primer , a mascara and a brow kit. Six products just for me! I felt loved and spoiled.

I tried all the products, and I loved the brow kit the most of them. It came with mini tweezers and a mini brush for easy traveling. I do my makeup on the train so that was super helpful. I loved how the pomade was light enough to fill in my brows but heavy enough to lay down my brows and keep them in place all day. The duo has a gel and powder.

My next favorite item had to be the eyeshadow in the shade Pain Au Choclat. In the pan it looks like a shimmery lavender, but when applied it turns into a beautiful duo chrome gold/white/lavender. I love putting this in my inner corner with simple long lashes and eyeliner in the water line. I didn't enjoy the second shadow. Mine came broken and formula was very unflattering against my skin tone.

The eyeliner was such a success that I plan on trying out the other colors in the line. It stayed in place all day and didn't smear all over my under eyes like eyeliner usually does. I put this in my waterline and that's where it stayed all day!
The color is so rich and creamy that it went on smooth. After a day in the heat and working, the liner was still dark as if I had just re-applied. I'm a huge fan and everyone should try it!

The mascara was the show stopper. I used the primer first to add fibers and extend my lashes, I let it dry and then I did a couple layers of the mascara. At first your lashes will look amazing and full. Throughout  the day they droop a little. Not a deal breaker, but since I wear glasses I kept thinking that my glasses were dirty. It was just my droopy lashes!

Overall the box was amazing. All the products were good and usable. I recommend these products to anyone that wants to try them. You won't be disappointed!

Xoxo - Joachris

(I did receive these products for free, for reviewing purposes. All opinions were my own and I am not getting paid for this post)
